The 2024 Formula 1 season has come to an end in Abu Dhabi. Like the competition’s cars, the two telepresence robots of the #F1FanConnect team have toured the championship circuits, navigating the paddocks to create magical moments for children.

Immersive Telepresence in the F1 Paddocks

At the initiative of Formula 1, two telepresence robots, dressed in the organization’s colors, were deployed at seven iconic Grand Prix events: Bahrain, Imola (Italy), Barcelona (Spain), Budapest (Hungary), Monza (Italy), São Paulo (Brazil), Doha (Qatar).

These robots helped achieve two key objectives for Formula 1:

  1. Creating local impact by offering hospitalized children near the circuits an immersive and unique experience.
  2. Providing inclusive opportunities for young fans living with severe illnesses or disabilities.

Behind the Scenes of F1 with Telepresence

Thanks to the connections facilitated by these robots, children were able to:

  • Meet drivers and Formula 1 ambassadors.
  • Explore exclusive areas, such as the pit lane and the onboard camera garage, where the spectacular race footage is captured.

This initiative goes beyond providing joyful moments—it also sparks interest in Formula 1 careers, aiming to inspire future generations.

Significant Impact: Over 150 Connected Children

In 2024, more than 150 children worldwide experienced this extraordinary adventure thanks to #F1FanConnect and the commitment of teams.

A heartfelt thanks to the Formula 1 team, especially CEO Stefano Domenicali, for his personal involvement and his visits to children in local hospitals.

This initiative proves that Formula 1 is more than just a sport of speed. It embodies strong human values, blending technology and solidarity to impact lives, one circuit at a time.
