The Viva Technology trade show, held in Paris from 30th June to 2nd July, was the scene of some strange encounters for many political figures: they did in fact converse with visitors but these were no ordinary visitors, these were “beamers”!
Organised by the Publicis Group and Les Echos, Viva Technology was the « tech » appointment not to be missed under any circumstances and certainly not because of the distance! With this in mind, Awabot provided 2 mobile telepresence robots, to enable visitors far away from the show geographically, to discover the innovations presented as if they were really there. But above all, they were able to interact with the general public on-site.
Among them, the President of the Republic, François Hollande, and it wasn’t his first encounter with BEAM technology…
There was also the Minister for Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs, Emmanuel Macron, who had already seen BEAM during one of his meetings…
There was even the Secretary of State in charge of Digital Affairs, Axelle Lemaire, who is said to have nicknamed the robot « Mister BEAM » !
